OUR PROGRAMS
Enhancements & Basic Needs
The original pilot program of the organization and operating since 1989, the Enhancements and Basic Needs program provides financial assistance to qualifying children and youth. The program also umbrellas the Alice's Closet, Dear Santa, and the Get Ready For School programs.
Youth Leadership Alliance
Established in 2017, the Youth Leadership Alliance is a youth leadership and enrichment programs with opportunities for self-governance. Participants have the opportunity to join the YLA Advisory Committee and have a voice in organizational needs and priorities. The youth chair of the YLA Advisory Committee also serves as a full voting member of the Get Ready Hawai‘i Board of Directors.
Ready Center Initiative
The most recent effort by Get Ready Hawai‘i, the Ready Center Initiative is currently in development and will be based on models established by the Resilience Hub run by Friends of the Children of West Hawaii using CARES Act funding. This initiative will establish community Ready Centers, or youth centers, within communities in West Hawaii and providing programs and services in response to the specific needs of each individual community..
